Illuminating Visions

For more than 100 years, lighting has been designed, manufactured, and traded in the Sauerland – for all areas of life. What once began as a regional exhibition has developed over the past 20 years into a European stage for the international lighting sector. Design, technology, and inspiration for illuminating homes, gardens, offices, and public spaces find their place here. Michael Kossmann, spokesperson for the Lichtwoche Sauerland, sums up the significance of the event: "The Sauerland is the home of lighting history – a place where the tradition, present, and future of the industry come together. And with the Lichtwoche Sauerland, the industry established a platform 20 years ago that has become indispensable.” Co-spokesperson Philipp Müller shares this view: "The lighting trade constantly needs new inspiration and impulses for the future of illumination. The decision to switch to an annual event format was absolutely the right one."

The Lichtwoche Sauerland is an event that connects Europe and has established itself internationally. From Sweden to Spain, France to England, and all the way to Italy and Austria, international exhibitors showcase their latest creations. At the same time, thousands of professionals from Germany and abroad use the trade fair as a platform for networking and inspiration.
