Our Hospitality

The Sauerland stands for openness, short distances and a special kind of hospitality. Anyone travelling to the Lichtwoche Sauerland should feel well supported not only professionally, but beyond that as well. For a pleasant stay, the Lichtwoche Sauerland therefore provides registered trade visitors with a hotel voucher worth 50 euros (limited availability). This voucher can be redeemed at the partner hotels of the Lichtwoche Sauerland.

A good reason to extend the stay. Embedded within the Lichtwoche is the LightNight, which deliberately creates space for personal exchange. Culinary highlights, music and a relaxed atmosphere provide the right setting for conversations beyond the showrooms.

In this way, the Lichtwoche Sauerland combines professional orientation with an environment that facilitates encounters – and with the ambition not only to welcome guests, but to accompany them well.

Light it Up!

This is where conversations continue — and new ones begin. On the evening of the LightNight, exhibitors, trade partners and guests come together to deepen impressions, maintain contacts and create new connections — beyond schedules and daily agendas. Dialogue becomes more open, thoughts flow more freely, perspectives broaden. Existing networks are strengthened, new contacts emerge through conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.

Once again, the LightNight combines exchange with enjoyment. Culinary highlights, music and a distinctive setting create a framework that inspires without demanding attention. An evening that leaves space — for encounters and for sharing the experience of Lichtwoche Sauerland.

“Light It Up” is both the motto and the invitation of LightNight 2026.
Let’s bring the day to a close together — in conversation, in exchange, in light.

Registration Open

The market for decorative and residential lighting is in motion – and in this context, Lichtwoche Sauerland 2026 is now entering the concrete phase of professional visitor registration. From 1 to 5 March, manufacturers, suppliers and decision-makers from the European lighting trade will once again meet in the Sauerland region to discover current lighting collections for living spaces, private interiors, homes and gardens. Presentations take place in the showrooms of the participating companies – deliberately away from crowded exhibition halls and without sensory overload. Quality, clear positioning and comparability are of high importance in the current market environment. Lichtwoche Sauerland therefore sees itself less as a stage and more as a working platform for orientation, direct exchange and well-founded assortment decisions.

Registration for professional visitors is now open. Admission to the exhibitions is free of charge.

New Videoclip

While company teams are working on concepts, presentations and product ranges, the organizers are busy with logistical preparations. As the season begins, we’re highlighting what defines the Lichtwoche Sauerland in our new Videoclip: strong products, fresh ideas and the close connection between retailers and manufacturers. The clip is now online – concise, clear and perfect for sharing. Watch on YouTube [HIER].

What else can you look forward to? More artificial intelligence is being integrated into the #LWS app introduced last year, to further enhance visitor orientation. Navigation to exhibitor locations will become even smoother – as will the overview of new products, services, and offers. Coordination with partner hotels, sponsors and collaborators is also underway.

Starting January 15, 2026, customer registration will open on the Lichtwoche Sauerland website. From then on, visits can be registered, hotel vouchers booked, and tickets for our LightNight requested!

Lichtwoche Powers Up

Anticipation is growing in Sauerland, as in just a few months the who’s who of the lighting industry will gather again for Lichtwoche Sauerland – with many familiar and new brands taking part. “Even though the current economic climate presents challenges, we feel strong support within the industry,” emphasize spokespersons Alois Fischer and Andreas Kuhrt. “Preparations are progressing with great care – and the participating companies are showing that they are ready to make a strong impression in March.”

The current consumer downturn is undeniably having a serious impact on many market players. Yet the outlook also includes a continued demand for quality products – across all price segments. Throughout many European households, people are consciously investing in their living environments – and good lighting continues to play a central role. For retailers, this remains a valuable opportunity for differentiation.

Once again, leading manufacturers and suppliers of decorative home lighting from Germany and across Europe have confirmed their participation in Lichtwoche Sauerland – and look forward to welcoming their customers in their showrooms. While company teams are working on concepts, presentations and product ranges, the organizers are also busy with logistical preparations.

Strong Brands Light Up 2026

From March 1 to 5, the Lichtwoche Sauerland once again invites visitors to the traditional hub of lighting and luminaires—this time with notable anticipation. Over 30 renowned brands from the decorative residential lighting sector have already confirmed their participation, sending a clear message: the industry is committed to dialogue, orientation, and moving forward together.

With Alois Fischer (Fischer & Honsel GmbH) and Andreas Kuhrt (EGLO Leuchten Handels GmbH), two well-established industry figures are taking on the role of official spokespersons for the event. Both bring decades of experience and a sharp sense for the issues shaping the market. For them, the Lichtwoche is far more than a fixed date in the calendar: “Lichtwoche Sauerland is not just a product showcase—it’s a creative marketplace for ideas, relationships, and growth,” says Andreas Kuhrt. Alois Fischer adds: “At a time when consumer behavior is visibly changing, it’s more important than ever to provide the industry with a platform that offers guidance and confidence.”

Indeed, the economic environment remains challenging. Consumer sentiment in Germany continues to be subdued, despite improving expectations for economic growth and personal income, according to recent consumer climate surveys. A growing tendency to save and ongoing economic uncertainties continue to shape many households. At the same time, expectations for quality, efficiency, and durability are rising—values that present new opportunities for the lighting industry. The market for high-quality lighting solutions, smart concepts, and sophisticated design is vibrant. While some suppliers are expanding their portfolios to broaden their appeal, others are focusing on tailored specialty solutions. This is exactly where Lichtwoche Sauerland 2026 comes in: “There’s strong interest in well-thought-out products and solutions in retail,” says Dennis Köhler, who will once again organize the event next year. “Especially in cautious times, the market needs offerings with substance—and events that provide direction.”

For over two decades, Lichtwoche Sauerland has stood for progress through closeness. Manufacturers and retailers, buyers and resellers alike value the event’s compact, personal format set in the scenic Sauerland region. The Lichtwoche warmly invites manufacturers and brands in the decorative residential lighting sector to take part. Early participants not only gain visibility but also valuable access to key industry contacts.
